Government Relations Officer; GRO

The Government Relations Officer (GRO) will be responsible for securing and expediting all permits, approvals, and regulatory requirements related to heavy transport and oversized cargo movements across Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong experience in coordinating with transportation authorities and ensuring timely permit issuance to support operational requirements without delays.

• Obtain and expedite permits for heavy haulage, oversized cargo, and special transport movements.
• Coordinate with MOTLS, TGA, Traffic Police, and other authorities to secure timely approvals for project cargo transportation.
• Review transportation routes and ensure all permit requirements are met before execution.
• Support the operations team in resolving permit-related issues that may impact project schedules.
• Manage and follow up on transport violations and authority inspections.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with key government stakeholders involved in transport permitting processes.
• Act as the primary focal point for all permit applications related to heavy and abnormal load transportation.

• Saudi National.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Government Relations within the transportation, logistics, or heavy haulage industry.
• Proven experience obtaining permits for oversized, overweight, and project cargo transportation in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong understanding of TGA and MOTLS regulations governing heavy transport operations.
• Demonstrated ability to expedite permit approvals and coordinate with multiple government authorities.
• Existing professional relationships with relevant authorities will be considered a strong advantage.
• Previous experience handling transport violations, regulatory inspections, and compliance matters is highly desirable.
