• Read and write English; interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Service Clerk reports to the Store Manager/Senior Assistant Manager and is responsible for maintaining carts, assisting customers with purchases, loading and unloading luggage, and ensuring accurate pricing and inventory organization.

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into shopping carts and loading vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelves and ensure correct pricing at the check stand.
• Pull merchandise from the check stand (“go backs”) and return it to the proper shelf; walk aisles and return misplaced items.
• Monitor cleanliness of the store entrance: sweep front area inside and outside, pick up trash, mop walkways, and clean entrance/exit doors daily.
• Maintain overall store cleanliness: sweep, mop, clean, restock restrooms, and perform general maintenance as needed.
