Full‑time

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession
• Selection of materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patient’s oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilization of equipment
• Take x‑rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Possess a professional and positive attitude
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)

• Monday – Wednesday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 1 Friday a month 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
• 1 Saturday a month 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM
