Job Summary

Danbury Hospital, located in Danbury, Connecticut, just 60 minutes north of New York City in Fairfield County and next to Westchester County in NY, is seeking a ninth Hematologist/Oncologist with a sub‑specialty interest in breast medical oncology to join its long established and growing practice. Our Cancer Institute is growing rapidly as we are expanding our clinical trial portfolio and positioning ourselves to be a destination cancer program in this region.

The breast oncologist will work closely with our breast surgery team in our Danbury and New Milford locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide breast medical oncology care in collaboration with breast surgery teams at Danbury and New Milford.
• Engage in teaching of medical residents and medical students.
• Participate in a growing clinical trial portfolio and research initiatives within the institution.
• Receive support for CME time and expenses.

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible in oncology with a subspecialty interest and/or experience in breast oncology.
• New and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work closely with multi‑specialty practice and tertiary oncology services.

Benefits & Compensation

$50,000 sign‑on bonus/retention package plus relocation allowance is available for full‑time candidates.

Competitive compensation including base salary plus incentives. Compensation range: $475,000 - $600,000 per year relative experience.

We are a Section 501(c)(3) tax‑exempt organization and therefore eligible employees may qualify for forgiveness of certain federal student loans under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

Location & Travel

Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles northeast of New York City). The hospital also has a location in New Milford, Connecticut.
