Medical Director of Structural Heart Opportunity in Danbury, Connecticut (60 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital, part of Northwell Health, is seeking a Medical Director of Structural Heart to join our Heart and Vascular Institute in Danbury, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, with post‑fellowship training experience in Structural Heart preferred. A minimum of 5–8 years of experience post‑fellowship is required, and previous leadership experience is a plus.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & Program Development
- Establish clinical protocols, guidelines, and best practices for structural heart interventions and drive innovation and adoption of new technologies and procedures
- Lead multidisciplinary heart team meetings and case selection conferences
- Establish and monitor quality metrics and clinical outcomes, including oversight of data collection and submission to national registries
- Recruit and retain specialized structural heart team members and provide leadership and training opportunities for support staff
- Develop strategic plans for program growth, expand referral networks, and collaborate with marketing on promotion and outreach
- Partner with members of the Heart and Vascular Institute as well as other departments and hospital administration
Board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology; post‑fellowship training in Structural Heart preferred; 5–8 years of experience post‑fellowship; prior leadership experience is desirable.
Compensation and BenefitsHighly competitive base salary plus incentives, generous allowances for CME and dues expenses, and relocation allowance.
LocationDanbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, about 60 miles northeast of New York City. Fairfield County offers varied housing options and highly rated public and private schools and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven, and Hartford are easily accessible via car or train.
