Pathologist

Job Summary

Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a full‑time Pathologist to join our group of 24 board‑certified pathologists across the system. We serve a testing volume of over 4 million results annually, including approximately 50,000 surgical pathology cases, and we host a residency program at our Danbury campus.

This position is based at Danbury Hospital campus in Danbury, Connecticut, approximately 70 miles outside New York City. It is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice offering a competitive base salary, incentive compensation, benefits, paid time off, CME allowance, and 401(k) with match.

Staff pathologist at a community hospital with a cancer program and a wide range of clinical services that is part of a comprehensive health system.

• MD or DO and completion of AP/CP Residency training.
• Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
• Candidates with subspecialty training and/or experience are encouraged to apply.
• Both experienced pathologists and those in fellowships are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong desire to interact with clinicians and laboratory staff, proficiency in frozen section performance, cytology interpretations (GYN and non‑GYN), rapid onsite cytology, and occasional autopsies.
• CT and NY State Medical License or eligibility to obtain an unrestricted medical license.

Salary Range: $325,000 - $360,000 annually, commensurate or relative to experience.
