Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is seeking a full‑time Emergency Physician to be primarily based at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, located about 70 miles northeast of New York City. Danbury Hospital’s Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center and a Chest Pain Center, offering 24‑hour interventional cardiology. We treat about 70,000 patients annually, with approximately 900 trauma cases.
At New Milford Hospital, our ER treats 16,000 patients annually in our newly renovated department. Our team of 22 physicians and 14 physician assistants provide 24/7 coverage at both locations.
Provide a variety of clinical medical services to patients presenting to the Hospital's emergency department, including evaluation and management.
Job Requirements- MD or DO with successful completion of Emergency Medicine Residency
- CT State license, CSR and Federal Narcotic Use Registration (DEA)
- New Emergency Medicine Residency Graduates are encouraged to apply if considering a full‑time position with us in the future.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Willing to work about 2 variable shifts per month as needed
- Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS required.
Salary: $225-$250/hr depending upon shift
