Position Type: Full-Time Day Shift

Maintains the cleanliness of patient and hospital facilities to ensure safe health care. Performs routine cleaning of assigned areas, utilizes appropriate chemicals and supplies, and reflects the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.

• Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
• Conduct daily sanitizing with a germicidal cleanser, high dusting, and cleaning of windows and windowsills.
• Ensure all tiled floors are dust‑mopped, damp‑mopped, free of dust and black marks; clean corners, edges, and baseboards.
• Utilize appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure; ensure proper dilution, labeling, and lock‑up.
• Use and maintain equipment properly and report safety hazards as appropriate.
• Transport trash and hazardous waste to designated disposal areas.
• Distribute linens to patient wings and remove dirty linen (if applicable).
• Follow infection control practices including hand washing, standard precautions, and isolation precautions; use appropriate chemicals and disinfectants.
• Work independently with normal supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Manual: significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
• Occupational: some occupational risk.
• Physical effort: very heavy effort; may exert up to 50 lbs. force.
