POSITION TITLE:
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SPECIALIST (CONTRACT)
LOCATION:
Stokes County Health Department, Danbury, N.C.
STARTING SALARY: $54.00 hourly

DESCRIPTION:
Duties will include promotion of public health through education, surveillance, consultation, inspection and enforcement of state environmental health laws and local regulations. Maximum of 16 hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Sanitarian with experience in Environmental Health. Onsite wastewater and onsite well experience is necessary. Valid Driver’s License.

A state application (PD-107) must be submitted to Hayley Shelton, Assistant Health Director, Stokes County Health Department, P.O. Box 187, Danbury, NC 27016.
Special Notification:
Effective November 9, 2009, applicants who are required to interview for a county position shall be required to submit a certified copy of a criminal record check from all counties in which they have lived for the previous five years. A criminal record check shall be submitted two business days prior to the scheduled interview date or before any offer of employment.
A criminal record check can be obtained from the County Clerk of Court's Office in each county in which you resided during the previous five years.
