Physician Assistant Hospitalist - Nights (potential for $10K Hiring Bonus)

Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time Night Physician Assistant Hospitalist – Nights to work variable night shifts (8 PM – 8 AM) with potential for a $10K Hiring Bonus. The position is located in Danbury, CT, a family-friendly community about 80 miles from NYC. You will work independently yet collaboratively with a team of experienced physicians and physician assistants in a collegial environment.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing high-quality care to Greater Danbury residents. It is part of Western Connecticut Health Network, which serves over 70 outpatient locations. With 371 beds and a Level II Trauma Center, the hospital is a teaching institution affiliated with several medical schools.

Danbury, CT, is located in the Berkshires and offers access to outdoor recreation and cultural amenities. It is easily reachable from NYC, New Haven, and Hartford.

Under the supervision of a physician, you will provide primary medical care to patients to aid recovery from acute illnesses and minimize chronic conditions.

• Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an approved Physician Assistant (PA) school.
• CT State PA license, DEA, and State of CT controlled substance registration.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• ACLS & BLS certification.
• Maintain 50 CME credits over two years.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Preferred: prior PA Hospitalist experience; new graduates with inpatient Internal Medicine experience are encouraged.
