Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Office Assistant) - NHMP Danbury Integrative Medicine

Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts between 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Summary: Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.

$500 Sign On Bonus (External Hires Only)

• Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
• Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
• Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication – both verbally and via the EMR system.
• Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
• Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
• Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
• Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
• Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
• Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
• Maintains and models the Organization’s values.
• Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

• 1 year customer related experience required.
• Preferred: 1+ years of healthcare experience.

Salary Range: $18.13 - $34.50 hourly (pay rate per years of relative experience).
