The role of the social worker is to deliver emotional and psychosocial support, along with education, to patients, families, and vulnerable populations. They provide therapy, counseling, care coordination, discharge planning, and advocacy. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, they practice at the highest level of their licensure, apply evidence-based approaches, and demonstrate flexibility across individual, group, and crisis interventions.
ResponsibilitiesRequires at least 3 years of experience as an LCSW. Demonstrated clinical background and hospital or crisis experience, a combination of relevant internship and work experience can be considered. Prefer:
Certification or specialized in an evidence-based intervention (CBT, DBT, EMDR).
- Highly proficient in conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing comprehensive treatment and safety plans, performing suicide and risk assessments, managing crisis situations, and coordinating effective discharge planning
- Proficiency in clinical reasoning and diagnosis formulation
- Provides psychoeducation, crisis intervention, and individual, family, couples, and group therapy services
- Highly organized with proven time-management skills
- Demonstrates clear understanding of regulatory documentation standards and maintains compliance
- Maintains current knowledge of, utilizes and applies evidence-based therapeutic practices, and treatment modalities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
