Sim Corp Dimension Configuration Engineer

Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) manages global financial assets with over $100 billion in AUM. Located in Boston, MA, LMI offers a boutique investment firm feel with the stability of a global leader. The configuration engineer will participate in the full cycle of idea generation, solution formulation, and implementation, improving efficiency, transparency, and accuracy across LMI’s financial accounting and reporting systems powered by Sim Corp Dimension.

Responsibilities
  • A minimum of 5 years of Sim Corp Dimension experience focused on continually enhancing IBOR and ABOR usage.
  • Proven understanding of key financial accounting concepts to configure effective Sim Corp solutions.
  • Continuous development of investment finance knowledge and consulting on complex technical problems (gap analysis, interface and reporting assessments, data mapping/conversion).
  • Strong working knowledge of the GAAP accounting framework, with Insurance statutory accounting experience a plus.
  • Experience configuring core Sim Corp functionality (Trade Manager, Filter Toolbox DEX/DFS, Corporate Action Manager, Reconciliation Manager, Finance Schemes, Portfolio Figures, IMW).
  • Application of configuration best practices emphasizing standardization over customization.
  • Familiarity with processing trades and lifecycle events for a wide range of public and private asset types.
  • Collaboration with data and software engineering teams to provide domain and product expertise for upstream and downstream solution development.
  • Strong SQL skills for both analysis and development.
  • Partnering with the Product Owner and agile team to support backlog refinement, story writing, testing, documentation, and acceptance criteria definition using JIRA.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline (technical degree preferred).
  • Generally 5-8+ years of professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Sim Corp Dimension experience focused on IBOR and ABOR.

The starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
