Role
Summary:
Provide primary pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents in a Federally Qualified Health Center, delivering both preventive and problem-focused services.
- Conduct well-child visits and sick visits
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust medications as clinically indicated
- Coordinate referrals and care transitions
- Educate families on prevention, healthy lifestyles, and wellness
- Document clinical findings and care plans in an electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve care quality for underserved communities
- Advanced clinical training as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Strong diagnostic and patient management skills
- Medication management and monitoring expertise
- Effective communication and family/patient education skills
- Proficiency with EMR documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
