Loss Prevention Officer – Part Time Hourly – Estimated pay range $18.55/hr to $22.00/hr depending on qualifications and experience. Must be at least 18 years and older.
PositionDescription:
Provide a safe and secure environment for our TEAM MEMBERS and customers. Implement and maintain shrink exposure controls. Work closely with store operations in order to decrease sales reducing activities. Investigate instances of loss in an effort to proactively reduce instances of further loss.
Your day-to-day:- Ensuring safety to all team members and customers
- Reporting all in‑store accidents to the proper departments
- Working as a team with other security officers
- Controlling traffic in a safe and orderly manner
- Provide exceptional customer service
- 1–2 years of basic security experience with a concentration in internal investigations
- Wicklander – Zulawski preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Great customer service
- Full knowledge of CCTV equipment, loss prevention and investigative concepts and techniques. Windows PC‑based computer experience is essential
- Good oral communication
- Excellent work ethic
Monitor store for instances of customer theft and/or internal loss. Apprehend and detain shoplifters. Investigate instances of internal loss and provide a detailed record of findings. Conduct interviews related to theft and incidents of asset loss. Complete all apprehension records and reports. Educate Team Members on SHRINK control procedures. Monitor Front End/Service Desk for policy violations; observe cashier performance for adherence to procedures and inform operations of any violations;
monitor transactions for collusions and/or monetary theft; evaluate cashier over/shorts for potential sales‑reducing activities; spot‑check store transfers, in‑house deliveries, vendor receiving and credits as required; assure adherence to internal security standards; respond to issues requiring First Aid/CPR/AED. Occasional travel and frequent use of company vehicles.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (winter weather)
- This position requires frequent walking and standing and occasional exposure to weather
- Greet customers with a friendly smile and positive attitude, ensuring that each customer feels welcome and appreciated.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store, offering assistance and support where needed.
- Improve and maintain the efficiency of the store in order to reach success.
