Description
Job Overview: As an Insurance Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and placing association insurance to ensure appropriate coverage at all times. You will follow the renewal timeline to gather underwriting information for insurance carriers to assess risk and issue quotes. The role aims to minimize risk for First Service Residential and its Managed Associations.
Your Responsibilities:
Monitoring association insurance policies to prevent lapses in coverage.Implementing FS Insurance Brokers' insurance program.Communicating and gathering information from brokers and agents.Reviewing proposals and policies for coverage and premium comparisons.Maintaining databases for insurance policy effective dates and coverage.Communicating in writing and verbally with insurance agents, community managers, associates, vendors, clients, and accounting personnel as needed.Complying with policies, procedures, and regulations.Completing necessary paperwork (electronically and in hardcopy) for accurate records.Assisting with special projects as requested.Skills &
Qualifications:1-2 years of property and casualty insurance industry experience preferred.Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related experience preferred.Experience with Community Association Insurance is a plus.Excellent organizational skills.Property & Casualty insurance license or ability to obtain within 6 months.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.Effective written and verbal communication skills.What We Offer:As a full-time employee, you will be eligible for comprehensive benefits including multiple medical plans, dental, vision, paid holidays, time off benefits, and a 401k with company match.
