Role description:

Provides complex technical support, planning and coordination for the distributed Windows computer environment, including desktop, software, and hardware issues. Performs diagnosing of installations and resolution of desktop computer, operating system, instrument connections, application software and hardware technologies and associated problems for a Life Sciences company working in a regulated GxP environment. Tasked with gathering the required information to create, schedule and deploy application packages, and OS Images via SCCM and MDT on a large GLOBAL scale.

Essential Responsibilities

Proactively support Windows infrastructure technology to maintain 24x7 uptime

Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments

Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance

Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on workstations

Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks

Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment

Responsible for Software and security deployments using SCCM/MECM & Landscape.

Identifies and implements ways to strengthen, streamline and automate configuration and deployment processes for imaging workstations and updating Operating Systems via SCCM/MECM and other tools.

Group policies – create new, deploy, troubleshoot; review old, deconstruct, remediate

Ability to write technical instructions for complex setups in an easy-to-understand manner

Strong scripting skills – Power Shell, AutoIT; specific to system and application configuration

Provides guidance to less experienced personnel on hardware and software to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

Required Qualifications /skills
