Veterinary Extern – General Practice
Danvers Animal Hospital is a high‑volume small animal general practice located on the north shore of Massachusetts. The clinic employs 10 practicing doctors and performs surgery and dental work five days a week. We are proud of our dedicated staff and supportive work environment and accept urgent‑care cases on a daily basis.
OverviewVeterinary students in their final clinical year are invited to apply for this externship. The program is designed to provide hands‑on experience under the supervision of Associate Veterinarians, covering patient history collection, physical examinations, treatment plan development, diagnostics, dental procedures, surgical observation or assistance, and overall patient medical management. Students also develop communication skills by interacting with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
