Double Tree Boston North Shore – Telephone Operator
Join Aimbridge Hospitality for the Telephone Operator role at Double Tree Boston North Shore.
PayBase Pay Range: $20.00/hr – $20.00/hr
Pay is based on skills and experience and will be discussed with the recruiter.
Job Responsibilities- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service‑oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance and comply with Aimbridge Hospitality scheduling standards.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge standards and regulations to support safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Remain attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Handle incoming/outgoing calls in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner, according to standard operating procedures.
- Take and deliver messages according to established standards.
- Maintain guest privacy at all times.
- Provide information about the hotel and its services.
- Be familiar with emergency and VIP procedures.
- Provide accurate directions to the hotel and be familiar with the surrounding area.
- Send/receive guest faxes.
- Serve as radio dispatcher, maintaining proper radio and paging procedures.
- Record and relay all guest requests and verify completion.
- Maintain a daily activity log.
- Establish and maintain an efficient filing system for guest registration cards.
- Process wake‑up calls per guest request.
- Assist with front desk procedures, including bucket checks and other duties assigned by the Front Desk Manager.
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Must convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Must be able to multi‑task.
- Must show initiative in job performance, anticipating needs before they become necessary.
- Must routinely meet deadlines.
- Must handle workplace problems effectively, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them.
- Must assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adjust to meet specific constraints.
- Must listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by co‑workers and guests.
- Must handle financial information and data, including basic arithmetic functions.
