Johnson & Johnson is hiring for a Senior Firmware Engineer – Abiomed to join our team located in Danvers, Massachusetts. • Design, develop, and optimize embedded software (primarily in C/C++)
• Maintain core system components to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability
• Assist in designing control systems
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software application engineers to resolve complex system-level challenges
• Apply best practices in embedded software engineering, including CI/CD, automated testing, and system monitoring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Embedded Software Engineering.
• 3+ years in embedded systems, low-level firmware on STM
  32/ARM Cortex or ESP

• Experience with RTOS or bare-metal ARM environments.
• Strong C/C++ skills, microprocessor optimization, threading, and software design principles.
• Experience with UART, I2C, SPI, Wi‑Fi, BLE, CAN, source control, and embedded build systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
• 2+ years of Medical Device development experience.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $109,000 - $196,000. This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive program.
