Responsible for performing all tasks related to outpatient referral communications with the patient/client and physician office referral sources.
Responsibilities and Duties- Handle intake inquiries from physician offices and collect all pertinent customer order information, including documentation required to meet coverage criteria.
- Respond to questions from provider offices and other outpatient referral sources regarding home equipment/supply needs, acting as a liaison between MSC, the patient/caregiver, and the referral source.
- Maintain open communication with patients/clients and referral sources, responding to all questions and concerns.
- Market our services to provider offices and other potential referral sources within the community.
- Maintain open communications with all referral sources and document interactions and frequency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited high school or GED equivalence.
- Two years (minimum) of HME customer service experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of intake implications of industry change.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills (team player).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, and perform setup tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all safety protocols.
