The Diesel Mechanic II performs skilled maintenance and repairs on Class 8 diesel tractors, trailers, and material handling equipment. You’ll handle advanced diagnostics, maintain service records, and help ensure our fleet remains DOT‑compliant and road‑ready.

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and braking systems
• Conduct preventative maintenance and DOT inspections
• Maintain service logs and repair documentation
• Operate tools and diagnostic equipment safely

• 2-4 years of diesel mechanic experience
• Knowledge of Class 8 vehicle systems and components
• Valid driver’s license

• Technical school certification or ASE credentials
• Welding, trailer repair, or forklift maintenance experience
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced DC environment

Starting Pay – $30.50/Hour
Plus Shift Differential – 6 Month Step Progression $31.50 – 12 Mo. Step Progression $32.50
