Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of Physician/Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide quality nursing care for assigned patients. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. WorkingConditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
Works is performed in an office setting. Involves contact with patients. Work may be stressful eraction with others is constant and subject to interruption. Contact involves dealing with sick people. Work may require being in a stationary position for long periods of time; also moving or positioning for files and supplies. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, copier, and other such office equipment as necessary.
It is necessary to view and type on computer screen for long periods and to work in an environment which can be very stressful. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently. A flexible work schedule is required.
Patient, family members and significant others, physicians and Associates, other health care providers, community resource personnel, administrative staff and Organizational support services.
Equipment Used/Special Skills Required(See competency checklist)
Experience RequiredThree (3) years LPN experience in clinical setting preferred.
Education RequiredGraduate of an accredited LPN training program.
Certification RequiredCurrent LPN License in the state of Kentucky. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (successful completion within three [3] months of employment).
