A day in the life of a Seasonal Training Clerk at VF looks a little like this.

The Seasonal Training Clerk supports the onboarding and development of new associates by providing hands on training, guidance, and coaching within the distribution center. This role serves as resource for newly hired associates, helping them learn job responsibilities, safety practices, quality standards, and operational procedures. The ideal candidate has strong operational knowledge, demonstrates positive leadership behaviors, and is committed to helping others succeed.

Key Responsibilities Train and onboard new associates on department processes and procedures.

Demonstrate safe work practices and ensure trainees follow all safety requirements.

Assist new associates in learning productivity, quality, and attendance expectations.

Provide hands-on coaching and support during the onboarding period.

Monitor trainee progress and communicate any concerns or opportunities for improvement to supervisors.

Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating strong work habits, professionalism, and teamwork.

Answer questions and provide ongoing support to new associates.

Assist with cross-training efforts as needed.

Maintain regular attendance and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications Strong understanding of distribution center operations and processes.

Consistently meets expectations in safety, quality, productivity, and attendance.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to train, coach, and motivate others.

Positive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous training, mentoring, or lead experience preferred but not required.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or yard environment

Ability to operate or willingness to learn yard tractor (hostler) operations

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
