MRI Technologist - Night Shift

Role Overview: The MRI Technologist I performs magnetic resonance imaging procedures, utilizing radio frequencies within a magnetic field for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They prepare, administer, and document medications according to regulations, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality. They evaluate image quality, assist in MRI interventional procedures, and support patient preparation and positioning.

• Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history.
• Apply appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and adhere to safety principles like ALARA.
• Assist in administering medications and evaluate images for quality and accuracy.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
• Apply MRI safety principles, participate in safety implant investigations, and assist with interventional procedures.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition needs.

• Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Completion of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and patient care best practices.
