Job Summary Geisinger's Neuroscience Institute is seeking an physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join the Neurosurgery team at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties The Neurosurgery NP or PA will join a dedicated team of providers at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. This role involves a primary duty of outpatient clinic (shared and independent clinics) with weekly inpatient/consult coverage on a rotating schedule. Primary OR coverage on Fridays and as needed Monday through Thursday. As part of our world-class Geisinger Neuroscience Institute, we have innovative high-value clinical protocols for acute inpatient and chronic outpatient disease management, a 20-year clinical data warehouse (Geisinger had one of the very first Epic systems), and a groundbreaking population genomics program.

Our team consists of 16 neurosurgeons providing neurosurgical services in four hospitals, including multiple hybrid operating rooms supporting comprehensive stroke programming. Join our award-winning team:

Transforming Health Care" The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor

organization) approved

physician assistant program, current

NCCPA certification

or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure. The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
