What Do Our Pest Control Technicians Do?The primary purpose of this role is to perform industry‑leading pest management services for residential customers. You will identify and eliminate pests from residential properties through thorough inspections, determination of pest type, application of treatments (pesticides, baits, traps), and provision of preventative measures while adhering to safety regulations and communicating solutions to clients.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand our product base to new customers.
- Ensure all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).
- Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Work around animals, insects, and termites.
- Handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals safely (training provided).
- Work both inside and outside in local climate with company‑provided weather gear.
- Perform frequent movement – sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal).
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
- Openness to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for following product mixing instructions.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
