Business Manager C

The Business Manager C is the top administrative position in a Virginia Department of Health district or central office work unit, responsible for strategic planning, budget preparation, resource allocation, and human resources management. The role provides support to the District/Office Director on non-medical business issues and serves as the primary spokesperson for business operations to internal and external entities. The position requires strong financial, administrative, and personnel management skills with statewide travel requirements.

• Knowledge of public administration, business management, finance, procurement, human resources, and facilities management
• Strong personnel management, financial, presentation, and oral/written communication skills with proficiency in spreadsheets and data analysis
• Ability to plan, develop, and direct financial and administrative operations with strategic planning focus
• Willingness to travel throughout Virginia and occasionally out-of-state; valid State Driver's License required
• Significant senior-level administrative management or public health experience preferred; experience with Incident Command System (ICS) a plus
