Works as part of the obstetrical team performing a variety of direct obstetrical patient services including assessment, diagnosis, implementation of treatment, evaluation, and monitoring of the obstetrical patient management plan, as well as, delivery and postpartum care. The obstetrician performs these functions under the general supervision of the Director of Obstetrical services and /or the Medical Director in a primary health care setting.

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with a degree of Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy and accredited residency programs one of which must be in Obstetrics.
• License to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• Board Certification in Obstetrics/Gynecology;
• The ability to relate with effectiveness to patients and providers.
• Must be qualified in Basic Life Support techniques.
• Sufficient experience to carry out the duties of this position.
