RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the operations of poker games on an assigned shift.
- Displays a working knowledge of all poker, rules, and procedures.
- Assures that all coin and check racks are always filled.
- Settles disputes that arise from guests in the poker area, referring those that are very difficult to the Poker Supervisor, Poker Manager, Table Games Shift Manager or Director of Table Games.
- Assures guest development by
1) interacting with guests,
2) modeling interactive skills with guests and fellow employees, and
3) making comp decisions. - Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any Table Games employee or gaming guest and reports any situations to the assigned superior.
- Observe problems or differences between Poker Team Members and gaming guests and aid if necessary.
- Provides for safety and security.
- Plans work for poker dealers on assigned shifts.
- Supervises and monitors work.
- Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Enforce Project 21 policy and procedures by monitoring areas for underage gamblers.
- Suggests products, services, and experiences to guests.
- Performs buy‑ins and fills for poker tables and guests as needed with available bank.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures pertinent to poker operations is preferred.
- Three years of casino experience, preferably in pit operation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Maintain knowledge of current property events, promotions, and attractions.
- Must have an outgoing personality and be able to generate business.
- Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
- Must present a well‑groomed appearance.
- Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.
- Computer skills including operating hardware, software, and other technical equipment.
- Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Caesars Virginia team members.
- Must be able to obtain a required Gaming License.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to tolerate the smell and residue of cleaning products used in work and back‑of‑house areas.
- Respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to be able to operate the following equipment: computer, telephone, photocopy machine, fax machine, ten key, embosser, printer, and bar encoder.
- Able to tolerate a loud and noisy environment.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Able to sit, stoop, reach and bend.
- Able to lift 25 pounds.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
