- Assist in safety, maintenance, repair, and technical work of stage sets, meeting spaces, and conventions.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of stage/meeting spaces, coordinating technical efforts as needed.
- Ensure proper lighting for stages and conventions.
- Reinforce lighting for all stage presentations, conventions, and special projects.
- Operate motorized vehicles, including hydraulic and electrically powered hi-reach (man lift), as well as hand tools.
- Promote Harrah’s and act in a professional, courteous manner.
- Exhibit a positive outgoing personality.
- Serve as a role model, presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encouraging others to do the same.
- Adhere to attendance guidelines and regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
- Set up and maintain sound and lighting systems in entertainment areas.
- Operate sound and light systems for assigned shows and events.
- Assist in the setup and strike of band equipment for different acts in entertainment venues.
- Handle all technical requests from set‑up.
- Handle all department setup needs, from staging tear‑down to banner installation for events.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Three years of experience in setting up sound, lighting, and audio/visual systems required.
- Must be able to get along with co‑workers and work as a team.
- Must present a well‑groomed appearance.
- Must be flexible in a demanding environment.
- Must maintain a good attitude at all times.
- Must be open‑minded and willing to work and learn from a variety of team members.
- Must be able to work in environments ranging from controlled to moderately severe.
- Must be able to climb, stand, bend, and stoop.
- Must be able to work in cramped areas for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
