Psychosocial Rehabilitation Counselor #4042 at Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services
. This role supports services for individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders and contributes to program development and operations.

• Assists in the overall functioning of the program to provide various services to individuals with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
• Assists in the development and implementation of relevant programming designed to meet the specific needs of individuals of all age groups, including young adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders.
• Maintains an orderly program environment.
• Facilitates self-help groups and community reintegration activities.
• Participates as an Intensive Community Services Program team member.
• Performs required program documentation.
• Provides back-up for other team members.

• M1: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, criminal justice, or other approved Human Services degree OR Certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner in VA.
• M2: At least one year of clinical experience within the past seven years providing mental health services.
• M3: Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to drive a 15-passenger vehicle.
• Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report will be required upon request. The agency maintains a drug-free workplace.

• Annual salary range: $43,722 - $76,514

• 5% Increase for Qualified Mental Health Professional.
