Responsibilities
The Hughes Center is a highly-structured psychiatric residential treatment facility for youth ages 10 to 22 with neurodevelopmental disorders. The Director of Behavioral Services reports to the CEO and trains, educates, and evaluates all patient care providers in ASD/ABA/behavior management. The Director oversees daily programmatic structure, ensuring all patients are actively engaged in therapeutic groups and daily tasks, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and designs a research-based continuum of care for measurable outcomes and successful reintegration to family and community.
The treatment program incorporates behavioral, developmental, educational, psychological, related services and pharmacological interventions, coordinates therapeutic incentive programs, and serves as a Trauma Informed Care Champion.
Master’s degree or Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Clinical Psychology, or related Human Services field. At least five years of experience providing services and leadership to programs serving children and adolescents with ASD or related neurodevelopmental disabilities, preferably with significant behavioral challenges, and in a hospital setting. Previous management experience preferred.
