ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Trains, motivates, evaluates, supervises and assists in hiring staff to ensure that team members receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established job requirements.
- Creates shift schedule and approves time when assigned by the Front Desk Manager.
- Supervises and directs guest check‑in and check‑out process and the provisions of transportation services to ensure that procedures are followed and that guests are helped quickly and in a courteous and safe manner according to Lumière Place standards.
- Counsels, guides and instructs the Front Desk Agents in the daily performance of their duties and provides exceptional leadership.
- Ensures the needs of guests are being met and are consistent with the standards established by Lumière Place’s management. Attends to guests’ complaints and requests as necessary and remains focused on quality guest services.
- Oversees the operations of the hotel as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Front Desk Manager and/or Front Office Manager.
- Handles complex guest service situations such as room moves and unassigned reservations. Acts as communication center between guests and various internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
- Coordinates with PBX, pool, Reservations, Bell/valet and Housekeeping to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Monitors equipment operations to ensure proper function; requests maintenance or revision as necessary.
- Monitors stock par levels to ensure adequate supply levels are maintained; prepares supply orders as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Good experience with office machines (such as fax machines and printers).
- Good practical knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, and proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organizational, multitasking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years’ experience working as a supervisor.
- Casino/Hotel experience preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
- May be subject to a smoking environment and moderate noise.
- Fast‑paced, high‑volume environment involving constant interaction with guests.
- Must be able to stoop, reach and bend as necessary.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast‑paced environment.
