Evening Guest Service Agent (Front Desk Associate): 3-11 p.m.
The Laurel Hotel – Danville, VA

Are you passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences? The Danville Hotel Collection is seeking full-time and part-time Guest Service Agents to join our team!

Job Overview:

As a Guest Service Agent
, you will be the face of our hotels, responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out process. This highly visible role allows for casual conversation with guests and directly impacts their experience. Additional responsibilities include handling payments, responding to guest inquiries, and providing recommendations for local attractions and services.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • ✔ Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, professional check-in and check-out experience
  • ✔ Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly, and ensure all requests are followed up on
  • ✔ Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and special requests with efficiency and attention to detail
  • ✔ Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, promotions, and local attractions to provide concierge-level service
  • ✔ Accurately process payments and ensure proper credit card procedures are followed in compliance with PCI standards
  • ✔ Communicate important guest information to relevant departments to enhance the overall guest experience
  • ✔ Maintain an organized and professional front desk area, following all shift checklist items
  • ✔ Handle guest concerns with patience, tact, and professionalism, escalating issues as needed
  • ✔ Assist in other front office roles as needed, including reservations, bell service, and concierge services
Qualifications:
  • ✅ Previous hospitality experience preferred, but not required
  • ✅ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive and professional demeanor
  • ✅ Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately process payments and reservations
  • ✅ Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed
