Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN Sovah East

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) joining our team, you are embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This is an in-person, full-time role with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (4 days a week).

• Calling in prescriptions
• Room patients
• Obtain vitals
• Reconcile medications
• Handle drug screens and breath alcohol tests
• Triages patients by phone and walk-ins to clinic; escort patients to exam rooms; monitor patient flow
• Access computer for patient reports; prepare patient chart with pertinent medical information
• Obtain and accurately record patient vital signs and medication list
• Perform office procedures; assist provider/physician with minor clinical procedures
• Manage prescriptions; call in/fax/eRx prescriptions as directed by provider
• Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures as ordered by the provider
• Obtain patient referrals, pre-authorizations, and pre-certifications
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families
• May administer medications, injections, and immunizations; utilize office and lab equipment for orders and tests

• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State
• AHA BLS certification required
• Graduate of a practical nursing program
