American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring ortho experience and VA or compact RN licensure.
Details- Operating Room department within a comprehensive surgical services program
- All ages patient population with 1:1 patient ratios
- Rotating shift schedule including two 12-hour and two 8-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Uses Meditech EHR
- Every other weekend work required, with additional weekend hours as needed
- Call rotations required, primarily on weekends with occasional weekday overnight call possible
- May be asked to float within scope of practice
- Active RN license in VA or compact license required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, HWC, and NIH
- 1-2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Ortho experience required
- 2+ years of experience with common diagnoses/treatments preferred
- Work in a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, cath labs, and oncology services
- Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Navy blue scrubs provided by the hospital
- Candidates must consent to random onsite drug screening and complete a criminal questionnaire/consent form
- Candidates must be motivated, proactive, easygoing, and professional
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Previous permanent staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not permitted
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
