American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details- Medical-Surgical unit in an acute care hospital setting
- 24-bed unit serving all ages
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Uses Meditech EHR
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend or as needed weekend requirement
- Floating as needed
- On-call as needed
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- HWC certification required (available on-site)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Provide direct patient care in a 250-bed academic community hospital with 24-hour ED services
- Facility is the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Professional demeanor expected
- Scrubs of any color accepted; no casual attire allowed
- Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
- Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
