American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg unit position requiring 1+ years of experience and an active VA or compact RN license.
Details- Medical-Surgical unit serving a patient population of all ages
- 24-bed unit with 1:6 patient ratios
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend work required
- Call requirements are as needed
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Meditech EHR system
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) valid in Virginia
- Current certifications: BLS, Healthcare Worker Certification (HWC, available on-site), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- 1+ years of RN experience required
- 2+ years of Med/Surg experience preferred
- Work in a 250-bed academic community hospital with comprehensive surgical services and a 24-hour ED
- Facility is a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center
- Professional demeanor expected on the unit
- Scrubs of any color accepted; casual wear is not permitted
- Consent to random on-site drug screening and completion of a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form required
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
- Block scheduling can be accommodated
