Retail Store Management Trainee - 0495

First Cash is looking for a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of 6+ months of store management experience. The position is a fast‑track opportunity for external retail assistant managers and store managers desiring to progress into a store management role. Minimum 1 year retail management experience required. Salary range $13.50 to $23.00 per hour plus commission and bonuses.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment and address customer issues professionally
  • Assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards
  • Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels
  • Open and close the store, including cash drawer counts and procedural compliance
  • Protect assets via inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans
  • Administer processes covering inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise reporting
  • Evaluate and drive profitability by reviewing financial statements and setting goals
  • Maintain operating standards that meet or exceed First Cash norms
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes for value and integrity
  • Complete assigned training and personal development tasks
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with store mission and profit objectives
  • Stay updated on product knowledge
  • Serve as Manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Perform any related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Can perform tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
  • Demonstrated supervisory ability
  • Must be willing to work with firearms and obtain certification
  • May assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage
  • Minimum age 18 years
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Flexible to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate
  • Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Will work 45+ hours a week (hours not guaranteed)
  • Computer literate; POS and common office machines
  • Strong multi‑tasking, attention to detail, organizational, analytical skills
  • Cash handling experience required
  • Independence with minimal supervision
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense
Commission Plan Information

Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2‑8 % commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Additional details provided during interview.
