Connection Christian Church (Connection), located in O’Fallon, MO, is a vibrant, nondenominational congregation with ties to the Restoration Movement. They are committed to its mission of connecting people to God and one another through Jesus Christ. The church is elder-led and co-pastored by Bryan Fakes and Jimmy Scott. Pastor Bryan was with the original team when the church was planted in 2000.
Pastor Jimmy joined the team in 2023. Connection worships at 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings. The church averages more than 175 in attendance between worship and kids ministry on Sunday morning.
With a history rooted in church planting and community partnerships, Connection has grown steadily over the years, eventually establishing its permanent home on Feise Road in Dardenne Prairie. The church offers a warm and welcoming environment where worship is engaging, messages are practical and biblically grounded, and people of all ages are invited to grow in their faith. Sunday services feature contemporary worship and relevant teaching, while children and students are discipled through age-appropriate ministries that emphasize both fun and spiritual depth.

The church is seeking the right candidate to lead as the new Worship Pastor. The right candidate will have a deep personal life in Christ and the character and capacity that align with the church’s overall mission and vision. The Worship Pastor will work closely with the Lead Pastor to fulfill their role. Below are the qualifications and responsibilities identified for this role by Froot Group and the church.
Responsibilities- Plan and lead worship services with the Worship Team, creating authentic worship experiences.
- Oversee setup, operation, and maintenance of sound, lights, video, and graphics for services and events.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule volunteers for worship and tech teams, including instrumentalists and vocalists.
- Manage music ministry, media production (e.g., Pro Presenter slides, lyrics, visuals), and technical systems (sound, video, lighting, cameras).
- Lead technical arts and production teams, ensuring quality and minimal disruptions.
- Manage technology upgrades, media file production (e.g., online broadcasts), and graphic/video projects.
- Oversee technical aspects of special events (weddings, funerals) and maintain worship department budget, licensing, and resources.
- Collaborate with Lead Pastors to align services with church vision and doctrine.
- Foster spiritual and leadership growth within teams through mentoring and discipling.
- Devoted Christ follower with integrity, a heart for worship, and a growing relationship with Jesus.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and communication skills with a servant’s heart.
- Proficient in audio, video, lighting, and media software (Pro Presenter, Planning Center, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools), or ability to be a quick learner of these programs.
- Skilled instrumentalist, vocalist, and sound mixer with media production expertise.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining confidentiality and moral purity.
- 3+ years of full-time ministry experience preferred.
