You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via the myTime mobile scheduling app) that fit your schedule. Reliable and prompt attendance is necessary when picking up shifts. You must remain engaged by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum 4 hours).

If you do not respond to attempts to contact you, or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. After being offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. The myTime app is used to pick shifts.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering a high level of service.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their needs, and be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store.
• Assist with gift registry, order pickup, drive-up, and related services, ensuring quality and guest satisfaction.
• Explain and promote Target Loyalty programs and help guests enroll; be familiar with fulfillment services and how to direct guests to enroll and use them.
• Explain how to use Wallet and Target App features to guests.
• Process returns and follow register prompts in collaboration with leaders as needed, following Target policies and procedures.
• De-escalate situations and recover guest shopping experiences in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours as needed.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards; assist with cash office processes as needed.
• Support guest services such as OPU and Drive-up, while adhering to applicable laws (e.g., alcohol-related regulations).
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

• Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including heavy items up to 44 pounds with assistance as needed, and up to 10 pounds routinely.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts to meet store needs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments typical of store duties.
• Ability to remain mobile for scheduled shift duration; shifts may vary in length.
