Yard Equipment Inventory Lead

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections and maintain records of all heavy equipment and machinery within the yard.
• Implement and manage an efficient system for tracking equipment locations, conditions, and usage.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in good working condition and schedule repairs when necessary.
• Oversee the check-in and check-out process of equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company policies.
• Develop and maintain an organized yard layout that facilitates easy access and efficient storage of equipment.
• Perform regular inventory audits and report any discrepancies, damages, or losses immediately.
• Collaborate with procurement and operation departments to assist in equipment purchases, disposals, and inventory forecasting.
• Train and oversee staff involved in inventory-related tasks to ensure compliance with inventory procedures and safety regulations.
• Implement safety and security measures to prevent theft, damage, and unauthorized use of equipment.
• Generate and present regular inventory reports to management, highlighting inventory levels, potential shortages, and recommendations for optimization.
