Essential Functions- Provide outstanding customer experience for residents, their loved ones, and other visitors to the community.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
- Maintain an awareness of each resident’s physical and mental health and report any changes promptly to nursing staff or the Executive Director.
- Respond to resident emergencies; provide first‑aid and arrange appropriate medical follow‑up.
- Assist residents in keeping apartments/units clean, neat, and orderly.
- Answer calls for assistance and attend to resident needs promptly.
- Prompt medication prompting as assigned.
- Assist residents with clothing and laundry needs.
- Assist with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
- Assist with activity programs as assigned.
- Maintain records according to policy.
- Maintain files as needed.
- Complete mandatory in‑service education hours each month as required by state regulations.
- Carry out other duties as assigned.
- Follow emergency procedures.
- Understand and adhere to safety practices and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other staff.
- Advise supervisors and appropriate managers of any changes in a resident’s physical or mental health immediately.
- Current State‑Specific Nurse’s Aide Registration.
- Experience and passion in working with seniors.
- Capability to perform physically demanding tasks such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, peers, and other staff.
- In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases.
- Physically able to bend and reach.
- Physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs at times.
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time.
- May be required to work weekends, holidays, and in inclement weather as needed.
- May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
- May be required to work extended hours.
- Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions.
- May be subject to hostile or emotionally upset residents due to mental status.
- Criminal background check required.
- May be asked to submit to random drug tests during employment.
