Buyer​/Supply Planner

We’ve partnered with a well-established and growing food & consumer products organization to hire a Buyer / Supply Planner to support procurement and supply chain operations.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring product availability, managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and supporting demand planning activities.

Buyer / Supply Planner

Darien, IL (Onsite) | $85,000 – $90,000 + Full Benefits

• Identify suppliers, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize safety stock
• Support forecasting and demand alignment activities
• Track supplier performance, service levels, and inventory metrics
• Maintain accurate item and vendor data in ERP systems
• Coordinate deliveries, follow up on orders, and manage exceptions
• Partner with Quality and Operations on compliance and performance
• Create reports and support continuous improvement initiatives

• 3+ years in buying, purchasing, or supply planning roles
• Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting
• ERP experience (SAP a plus, not required)
• Understanding of inventory management and supply chain fundamentals
• Organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, onsite environment
