Bookkeeper

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous bookkeeping experience who is looking to join a friendly and supportive accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients. Processing purchase and sales ledgers. Bank reconciliations. Preparing and submitting VAT returns. Assisting clients with bookkeeping queries. Maintaining accurate financial records. Liaising with clients to obtain financial information. Supporting the wider team with ad hoc bookkeeping duties. Opportunity to progress into accounts preparation as experience develops. About You Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accountancy practice.

Good understanding of bookkeeping principles and VAT. Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books or Sage is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Able to manage your own workload and meet deadlines. Confident communicating with clients and colleagues. AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be beneficial but is not essential. What's on Offer Competitive salary dependent on experience.
