Position: Senior Residential Support Worker- Children & Young People
Senior Residential Support Worker Children and Young People 5 Bed Residential Home
- Emotional behavioural disorder, mental health and learning disabilities Darlington, DL3 Full-Time 40 hours per week £29,392 - £32,792 12-hour shifts
- Days & Waking Nights
-8am-8pm and 8pm-8am You must be at least 23 years of age. Driving Licence
- Essential, manual, OR automatic This 5 bed homes provides extensive care and nurturing for children and young people aged 8-18 years old with a wide range of difficulties:
Emotional behavioural disorder, mental health and learning disabilities. Requirements Strong understanding of young people's developmental needs and safeguarding/child protection procedures. Knowledge of social care services and experience working sensitively within a team. Ability to stay calm under pressure, handle emotional situations and remain flexible. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate yourself and others. Senior Residential Support Worker

- Key Responsibilities Support the Registered Manager/Deputy with day-to-day operations and staff deployment. Meet the needs of young people in line with individual care plans, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times. Work collaboratively with families, social workers and external agencies. Ensure all practice meets legislative and safeguarding standards. Lead on staff inductions, supervisions and appraisals. Support in implementing, reviewing and updating care plans.
