An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing packaging machinery business supporting customers across the UK, Ireland, and occasionally overseas. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills who enjoys customer-facing work, travel, and working on high-spec automated machinery.

The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and breakdown support of packaging machinery lines.

Key responsibilities include:

Installation and commissioning of packaging machinery Fault finding and technical support on customer sites Operator and technical training Service and breakdown response Preparing service kits and parts ahead of jobs Supporting machine testing and workshop builds when required Maintaining excellent customer relationships Providing feedback and technical updates to management Participation in on-call service rota Requirements A recognised Electrical or Mechanical apprenticeship Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge Basic PLC understanding (no programming required) Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and manage travel commitments Good IT skills including Microsoft Office Full UK driving licence and valid passport Note - Travel across the UK and Ireland is expected, with occasional overseas travel for training and customer support.
