Senior Governance Officer

We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in the South-West , who are recruiting for an Senior Governance Officer on a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension. The role can be conducted fully remotely, and they are looking for someone on a part-time basis, 2-3 days per week. The position is due to start as soon as possible, and the hourly rate of pay is £25 - £30 p/hour via an Umbrella company .

Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Providing high-level governance support to the Head of Governance, Risk and Assurance and the wider team during a period of disruption and transition, ensuring continuity and delivery of key governance priorities Supporting continued implementation of the Association's Governance Action Plan Assisting with policy reviews and consolidation Working on processes and documentation for fit and proper persons checks, ensuring compliance and completeness Supporting the recruitment process for new non-executive director Providing high-quality minute-taking for Board/Committee meetings, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organisational standards Reviewing the organisation's compliance with Charity Commission requirements and related Charity law/regulation Experience required:
Social Housing Regulation and compliance, or similar regulated environment Proven experience in policy development and drafting high-quality Board/Committee papers Minute-taking expertise with ability to produce clear, concise, and professional records

Working hours:
