Berry Recruitment Darlington is currently registering agency Kitchen assistants and Cleaners to cover temporary roles within schools in Staindrop.

These roles are as-required, ideal for candidates looking to top up their regular hours or seeking flexible part-time work.

🕒

Working Hours:

Typically 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM or 3:00PM - 5.30PM, depending on the school's requirements.

👨‍🍳

Duties Include:

Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices, and communal areas
Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting
Cleaning toilets and replenishing supplies
Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
Sanitising touch points and high-traffic areas
Cleaning windows, doors, and furniture
Following cleaning schedules and procedures
Reporting maintenance issues or health and safety concerns💼 Requirements:

Previous cleaning experience preferred
Driving licence and own transport preferred but not essential
Must hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service (£18/year)
- or be willing to pay £59.50 for a new Enhanced DBS
Completion of online training:
Safeguarding
Keeping Children Safe in Education💰 Pay Rate:
£12.71 per hour, paid weekly in arrears via Berry Recruitment
